N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Kindred kept Maple Valley/Enderlin in check on both sides of the football Friday night handing The Falcons their first defeat 26-0. MVE collected 138 yards of offense which is a season low, they surrendered 325 yards and 26 points both season highs.
Michael Hall punched the ball across the goal line to start the scoring in the first quarter. Dawson Schaffer kicked the PAT through the uprights. Keaton Rustad found the end zone from 24 yards out in the 3rd quarter for The Viking’s second touchdown of the game, he’d score again on a 10 yard run in the 4th. Devin Houska added a touchdown in the 3rd.
Hunter Smith was 5 of 10 with 72 yards passing for The Falcons. He threw 2 picks. Dustin Kasowski was limited to just 30 yards on 12 carries. AJ Punton picked up 19 yards on 8 carries. Kasowski had 2 receptions for 38 yards, Zane Gruba made one reception for 23 yards.
Kasowski registered a team high 11 tackles with Darian Walburn getting 10 and Ty Combs and Lain Combs 6.
Maple Valley/Enderlin falls to 3-1 and 2-1 in Region 1, next up is Hillsboro/Central Valley Friday in Enderlin.
