JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown has crowned their 2017 Homecoming King & Queen during coronation Sunday, September 24th.

This year’s queen candidates were Alex Umber, Aly Freitag, Bryn Woodside, Mary Joy, McKayla Orr, and Meredith Mutch. King candidates were Ben Mathews, Colby Mahar, Cole Staigle, Logan Wang, Sam Johnson, and Quinn Irey.

Bryn Woodside was crowned queen and Sam Johnson was crowned king. Bryn is a women’s basketball player from Albert Lea, MN and is the daughter of Kevin and Lynn Woodside. Sam is a men’s basketball player from Mora, MN and is the son of Dan and Barb Johnson.
