CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 39 year-old Dazey, North Dakota man is facing a number of felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from assault and domestic violence incidents earlier this year in Cass and Barnes County.
Theodore Czech was charged with Simple Assault-Domestic Violence in Cass County back in June. On August 9, he was arrested and charged with Felonious Restraint and felony Child Neglect, along with two misdemeanor offenses, Simple Assault-Domestic Violence and Violation of an Order Prohibiting Contact. Bail was set at $20,000 cash/10% bond. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims. Another individual posted the $2000 bond on his behalf, and he was released after August 14.
Barnes County State’s Attorney Carl Martineck said on October 20, Czech was charged with felony Interference with an Emergency Call, and three misdemeanors offenses, Domestic Assault and two charges of Violation of an Order Prohibiting Contact stemming from an incident in Barnes County.
Earlier this month, Czech was found hiding in the home of a female victim while she was sleeping according to Barnes County Sheriff’s deputies.
During his last court appearance, bail was set at $100,000 cash or surety. As of October 30th, Czech remains in jail. His next court appearance is set for November 28th in Barnes County.
Public records indicate that Czech was charged with felony Reckless Endangerment and Simple Assault-Domestic Violence in Cass County on November 10, 2016. Those charges were later dismissed.
