DEVILS LAKES,N.D.(NewsDakota.com)-  The Hi-Liners kept the train rolling Tuesday night in Devils Lake. Valley City won their 7th straight match 25-15, 25-18, 25-14 and earned the 2nd seed and a first round bye in The Eastern Dakota Conference Tournament.

Valley City fell behind by just a point early in the 1st and 2nd sets while controlling play a majority of the time against The Firebirds. Coach Jill Taylor feels her team is starting to have confidence in all parts of their game

 

Five Hi-Liners had double figure digs. Reagan Ingstad led the way with 21. Kacee White had 20, Cali Halgrimson 16 and Macy Olstad and Lexi Ondracek 10 each.

Halgrimson had a team high 9 kills. Olstad added 8 with Ingstad, Josie Berntson and Mackenzie Pederson getting 5 each. Pederson, Berntson and Lindsey Noeske all registered 2 blocks. Ingstad collected 24 assist.

Last season Valley City was 7th in The EDC and had to win a play in match to face the 2 seed in the tournament, this season its been a complete 180.

 

Valley City will host their first round match Tuesday night at 7. They play the winner of Grand Forks Central and Grand Forks Red River, they face off Friday night with The RoughRiders the home team.
