LA CROSSE, WIS. (VCSUVikings.com)– The Viterbo men’s basketball team shot the lights out Saturday night as they handed Valley City State a 64-45 road loss.

Valley City State managed just 35 percent shooting while the V-Hawks shot 58 percent on their home rims, including 53 percent on 3-pointers. Viterbo jumped out to a 17-3 lead to start the game and never trailed.

Valley City State drops to 7-13 overall and 1-7 in the NSAA. Viterbo improves to 12-8 overall and 4-4 in the NSAA.

Rashad Satahoo led the Vikings with a game-high 24 points, going 6-for-7 on 3-pointers. It wasn’t enough to carry the Vikings though as they dropped their third straight contest. Austin Dunbar added 12 points and six rebounds as the only other Viking in double figures. Alex Quist added five points.

VCSU shot 35 percent overall (15-43), 33 percent on 3’s (7-21) and 73 percent at the line (8-11). Viterbo University finished at 58 percent from the field (26-45) and 53 percent on 3’s (8-15).

Ethan Haberman led the V-Hawks with 20 points on 9-for-15 shooting. Jared Fleischmann added 16 points and seven rebounds.
