N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Drones are some of the fastest growing technologies in the world.
Also known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), this technology was first used for military missions considered too dull, dirty, or dangerous for humans. Today, they are used for businesses and personal use.
Logan Adams is a certified FAA drone pilot.
Adams owns and operates Mercury PIC, a business with which he uses drones to provide photography and video services in the area. In order to provide this, a person has to be certified by the FAA.
Other rules include flying drones around airports, with different specifications for hobbyists and commercial fliers. With the growing popularity of drones and the ever changing technology, Adams says safety is a key when it comes to flying.
Adams says if others take up flying drones, whether it’s for hobby or business, to keep safety at the forefront of their minds.
You can hear a full interview with Logan Adams below. You can also find some pictures and video from Adams courtesy of Mercury PIC.
