BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Police are saying the wanted man could be somewhere in Eastern North Dakota.

In a post to the Bismarck Police Department Facebook page, authorities say around 5:30 p.m. an officer saw a vehicle matching the description of the one they believe Ulises Villalobos was in at the Argusville exit on I-29.

believe Villalobos is looking to steal a vehicle, and may have been struck by a bullet in the incident that triggered the manhunt.

Authorities say he tried to run over an officer in Bismarck around 10:45 a.m. Thursday. Officers then found the vehicle used in that incident in Bismarck, and later got a tip that Villalobos was heading east out of Bismarck in a white, 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback with North Dakota plate 476BJY.

They also say he may be in the company of a large, tall Hispanic male. If you see the suspect vehicle or Villalobos, authorities say you should not try to approach him, but call 911.

Ulises Villalobos is a 22-year-old, Hispanic male, 5’9”, 170 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

A blue alert sent out by the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services is warning residents about a man at large considered dangerous in the area.

Ulises Villalobos, 22, is currently wanted after fleeing from Bismarck Police. In a release, Sgt. Mark Buschena says Villalobos attempted to run over an officer, who then fired shots at the suspects vehicle. Police are currently at the scene and actively searching for Villalobos.

Villalobos is a Hispanic male, 5’9″, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

If you see Villalobos, you’re asked to contact law enforcement immediately. Do not attempt to engage. It is not known if he is armed.

A blue alert is activated as a quick response and notice after an individual has threatened a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, used a deadly weapon against a law enforcement officer, caused a law enforcement officer to suffer serious bodily injury or death, or the officer has been abducted or is missing while on duty, and the individual has left the scene of the offense.
