JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High basketball teams welcomed in the Century Patriots on Thursday night to Jerry Meyer Arena. The Pats won both contests leaving Jamestown with another sweep.

Jamestown trailed 19-9 before they went on a 16-4 run to take their first lead at 25-24 with about three minutes left in the first half. After that, it was all Century. The Patriots scored the final 12 points in the first half and continued that run after halftime.
The Jays held the 6’4″ Lauren Ware to just 11 points, but they rest of her team picked up the slack. Lily Keplin had 17 and Katelyn Selensky finished with 13.
Jamestown was lead in scoring by Courtney Peterson’s 15.
BBB: Century 80, Blue Jays 71.
The Jays continue to play well against some of the top competition in the state. Century lead by 14 late in the first half in what looked like it was going to be a low scoring affair. But the tempo increased in the second half and Jamestown was able to cut the deficit to four points.
Boden Skunberg, Mason Walters and John Horgan combined for 48 of the 50 points the Jays scored in the second half, but they could never get closer than four. Kade Lynch was the catalyst for Century with 23 points, 21 coming after halftime.
Skunberg lead the Jays with 26. Horgan added 17 and Walters finished with 16.
Jamestown travels to St. Mary’s on Tuesday to play the Saints.
