VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – St. Catherine School students participated in the National Geography Bee at the local school level. The competition included seven rounds of various geographic questions. Some ranged from physical land forms to trivia pertaining to the seven continents to state birds.

Dean of Students Dawn Ihry said St. Catherine 4th grader Matthew Holm was runner-up and 6th grader Livia Dietrich was the champion this year.

The state Geography Bee will be held in April on the campus of the University of Mary south of Bismarck.
