N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization that provides planting, harvesting, haying and hay hauling assistance free of charge to farm and ranch families who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, has received a new wave of support through a sponsorship from Gooseneck Implement.

Farm Rescue has helped more than 525 rural families since operations first began in 2006. Of those families, around one-third operate in north central and northwestern North Dakota, which is the main service area of Gooseneck Implement. The John Deere retailer employs nearly 300 people in the communities of Minot, Kenmare, Mohall, Stanley, Velva, Rugby, Harvey and Williston.

The shared footprint makes for a strong partnership between Farm Rescue and Gooseneck Implement, as both organizations strive to support farmers and ranchers throughout the region. Gooseneck’s contribution to Farm Rescue comes in the form of a sponsored John Deere S690 combine and header to aid the nonprofit’s Angels in Blue volunteers with harvest assistance efforts.

“We welcome Gooseneck Implement to our family of caring and compassionate sponsors. They stepped forward without hesitation to sponsor quality John Deere equipment for our mission.” said Bill Gross, Founder & President, Farm Rescue. “Gooseneck Implement is certainly committed to helping the farm and ranch families throughout the region. Their generosity will allow us to continue providing timely harvest assistance to those in a time of need.”

“The entire team at Gooseneck Implement is very excited to partner with Farm Rescue,” said Jamie Melgaard, Gooseneck Implement CEO. “Farm Rescue is providing farm families with the resources and equipment to continue the legacy of their operations. There are several customers in our Gooseneck area that have been touched by Farm Rescue, and going forward we want to be a part of that because we feel it is a great way to give back to farm families in our area. We believe in what Farm Rescue stands for and the hundreds of family farms they have assisted in the past 12 years.”

Farm Rescue is truly grateful to Gooseneck Implement and all business sponsors, grantors and individual donors who make it possible to provide timely assistance to farmers and ranchers during times of unexpected crises.
