N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for January 15th through the 25th.
Between those days, there were approximately 11 calls the JFD responded to. Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther reports that in 2017, there were 289 total calls for service. some of the calls included a fire due to a heat gun in an apartment, a dumpster fire at Titan Machinery, and carbon monoxide detection at a home.

Call No. 16 January 15th, 5:00PM, fire department responded to 610 11th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire. Firefighters extinguished a small fire and investigated. Cause-heat gun unthawing frozen water pipes. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Call No. 19 January 19th, 1:52AM, ready squad responded to 724 7th Ave SE, Multi Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 66 ppm was detected. Cause-gas appliance malfunction. Time out 50 minutes.

Call No. 23 January 20th, 10:29PM, ready squad responded to 102 3rd St SE, City Hall, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-air compressor failed on the sprinkler system. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 55 minutes.
Call No. 24 January 21st, 4:24AM, ready squad responded to 1104 25th St SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
