FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Abdi Sufi scored 17 of his 22 points after halftime leading the West Fargo Packers to an 85-81 win over Jamestown in overtime in the quarterfinals of the State Class A Basketball Tournament at the Scheels Center in Fargo.

Luke Lennon sent the game into overtime with a putback bucket with 8.3 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game at 75. The Packers shot 59 percent in the second half hitting on 23 of 39 field goals.

Joe Pistorius led the Packers with 29 points. Lennon had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sufi chipped in seven rebounds.

John Horgan led the Jays with 30 points. Boden Skunberg added 21 points and seven rebounds. Mason Walters added 17 points and 14 rebounds. Jaden Kallenbach chipped in seven assists for Jamestown who fall to 12-13. They will play Bismarck St.Mary’s Friday afternoon at 2pm in the consolation bracket. The Saints lost to West Fargo Sheyenne 80-70.

West Fargo improves to 22-3 and will face West Fargo Sheyenne in the semifinals and will try to avenge the only loss they suffered in the last 12 games, a 74-71 setback in the East Region tournament.

Other quarterfinal results, Mandan defeated Shanley 68-53. Bismarck Century defeated Grand Forks Red River 68-44.
