MOORHEAD, MN (NewsDakota.com) – The Central Cass girls and the Kindred boys are the 2018 Maple River Conference Indoor Track and Field champions.

The Squirrel girls posted 215 points and six first place finishers. Maple Valley-Enderlin took second with 72 points.

For Central Cass, Kylie Grommesh took first in the 55 meter dash and the long jump. Lily Pyle was first in the 200, KaliRae Garcia was first in the 55 hurdles, Haley Jones was first in the pole vault and the 1600 relay team took top honors.

Other first place finishers: Emma Baasch of Maple Valley-Enderlin won the 400 Meter dash. Ashley McFadgen of Barnes County North won the 800 Meter run. Mikayla Koenig of Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page was first in the 1600 Meter run. Fargo Oak Grove took the 800 Meter relay. The team from Finley-Sharon/Hope –Page won the 3200 Meter relay. Tessa Schroeder of Maple Valley/Enderlin won the high jump and triple jump. And Payton Packer from Kindred won the shot put.

For the boys, Kindred took top team honors with seven first place finishes. Dylan Brandt had four of the first places in the 55 Meter dash, Pole Vault, Long Jump and High Jump. Devonte Figuero was first in the 200 Meter Dash. Kadin Olson took the 55 Meter Hurdles, and Michael Hall was first in the triple jump.

Other first place finishers: Arthur Punton of Maple Valley-Enderlin won the 800. Teammate Lane McCleary won the 1600 Meter run. Braeden Knutson of Central Cass won the 400 Meter Dash. The 800 and 1600 Meter relay teams took first place for Central Cass. Maple Valley-Enderlin took the 3200 Meter relay. And Thomas Metzgar from Northern Cass won the Shot Put.
