JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission made several motions Tuesday to fill open positions within the county.
During the regularly schedule meeting, Auditor Nicole Meland reported that they had 10 applications come in for the Chief Deputy Auditor/Recorder position. She says they conducted four interviews from there.
Meland says Alonge will report to her. Following that appointment, it left an opening for the Treasurer position. Meland reports that they opened that position internally.
The appointment was unanimously approved by the commission.
In a special Park Board meeting, the commission needed to address the resignation of Marlyn Bertsch earlier this month. Commissioner Dave Schwartz says he held discussion with board member Karl Bergh about serving in the position interim for the summer.
The appointment was approved. Bergh began serving retroactively on Monday, April 9th.
