FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Enderlin/Maple Valley baseball team went 1-1 Saturday in a pair of Region 1 in Fargo. They edged Central Cass 3-2 while falling to Kindred/Richland 8-6. Monday they play at LaMoure-Litchville/Marion on the road in another Region 1 match up.

 

 

Game 1: EMV 3 vs. Central Cass 2 (8 innings)

After The Squirrels’ Andrew Volk tied the game with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th to force extra innings, The Falcons had a 2 out rally of their own in the top of the 8th. Jacob Johnson got on with a double and came around to scored the go ahead run.

Chance Bye led EMV with 3 hits and 2RBI. Johnson and Nathan Amerman both had 2 hit games.

Bye got the start for The Falcons pitching 7 inning with 6Ks, he earned a no decision. Jade Pulkrabek got the win in relief. Central Cass starter Jacob Kressin took the loss.

 

Game 2: Kindred/Richland 8 vs. MVE 6

The Falcons and Vikings combined for 26 hits. Kindred broke a 4 all tie in the top of the 7th with 4 runs. EMV was able to get 2 back in the home half of the inning but could not find the equalizer.

Jacob Johnson, Dustin Kasowski, Dakota Mark, Brandan Utke and Cam Yantis all drove in runs for The Falcons. Carter Lingen was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI for The Vikings. Atley Ingebrigtson had a 4 hit game.

Nate Amerman was the losing pitcher and Ingebrigtson got the win.
