ELLENDALE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Five individuals will be in Bismarck next month for the State Class B Meet in after qualifying in events Saturday at the Ellendale QB Club Meet.
On the girls side, Shelby Dietz of Sargent County qualified for state and set a complex record with a shot put throw of 37 feet, 7.5 inches. LaMoure-Litchville/Marion won the meet with 108 points, followed by Oakes (98) and Milnor-Wyndmere-Lidgerwood (79).
Edgeley-Kulm’s Issac Huber qualified for state in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs with times of 4 minutes, 35.04 seconds and 10 minutes, 7.24 seconds. M-W-L’s Evan Braaten qualified in the 300 hurdles with a time of 40.94 seconds, and his teammate Luke Foertsch qualified in the triple jump with a jump of 43 feet, 5.5 inches. Oakes’ Ashton Biesterfeld qualified in the discuss with a throw of 140 feet, 1 inch.
Edgeley-Kulm won the boy’s meet with 118 points, M-W-L was second with 104.5 points, followed by Redfield-Doland South Dakota with 78.5 points.
