BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) released draft dispensary application materials for the Medical Marijuana Program. The draft application materials, including instructions, can be found on the Division of Medical Marijuana’s website at www.ndhealth.gov/MM.

“The registration of dispensaries will be another vital part of implementing the Medical Marijuana Program,” stated Jason Wahl, director of the Division of Medical Marijuana. “The applicants selected for registration will be responsible not only for dispensing usable marijuana to registered qualifying patients and designated caregivers, but they will also have the important role of providing education to those patients and designated caregivers on products and dosing,” added Wahl.

A panel will be established to review all complete applications. The panel will evaluate, score and select applicants that will be eligible for registration through the NDDoH. Previously, the NDDoH established eight dispensary regions. An applicant must determine which region(s) they will be applying for. The same legal entity may apply in multiple regions but can only hold one registration certificate under the Medical Marijuana Program.

Complete instructions and application forms are available on the division’s website at www.ndhealth.gov/MM/. A $5,000 nonrefundable application fee is required with all applications submitted. A map of the eight regions, frequently asked questions for the dispensary map, and the frequently asked questions for compassion centers document are also available on the website.
