LAMOURE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High baseball team improved to 8-2 in Class B Region I play, and won their fourth consecutive game Thursday with an 11-0 five inning victory in LaMoure against the Loboes of LaMoure-Litchville/Marion.

Oakes started off hot with a four spot in the top of the first inning, including a two RBI double from Trey Juran.

The Tornado defense was just as impressive, featuring a double play to end the Loboe threat in the second inning.

In the fourth, Oakes put the game out of reach, with six runs on two hits, one of those hits from Juran.

Mike McKenna eared the victory for the Tornadoes, going four and two-thirds innings, allowing only one hit and two walks, while striking out three.

LLM’s (5-6 Class B Region I) lone hit came from Landon Piehl to start the second inning, and saw McClain Bierman take the loss, going three innings, six hits, eight earned runs with five strikeouts.
