VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A duck naming contest is underway to coincide with the annual Duckin Down the Sheyenne River Rubber Duck Race coming up June 16.

The Valley City Area Chamber is asking everyone to participate in the contest and come up with a good name.

Event Coordinator Reah Tykwinski said those interested can submit their idea on FaceBook.com/vcchamber.

A kickoff event was held at Central Avenue Health Mart Pharmacy, Dutton’s Parlor and Blush Boutique on May 24 in Valley City. For more details about the naming contest call Reah Tykwinski at 845-1891.
