JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Anglers old and new cast out lines Saturday, June 16th for the 38th Annual Dakota Anglers Little Britches Fishing Tournament.

The event is hosted yearly by the Dakota Anglers and features teams of one adult and one child in a fishing tournament. Teams could fish any legal state water by a certain time. Teams were judged on both rough fish and competitive fish.

Winners and age groups for each include:

0-6 – Harry & Steve Gapinski*
7-10 – Chase & Jayme Ova*
11-13 – Carson Ova & Justin Backer*
14-16 – Isaac & Jodi Bayer

Winners of the casting contest were Karter Lang (0-6), Chase Ova (7-10), and Carson Ova (11-13).

The Dakota Anglers also selected a few lucky individuals for a sponsorship to attend a fall fish camp in Devils Lake.

“The Dakota Anglers are paying the camp fee for five youngsters and Tom Divers memorials are sending two youngsters to attend the Devils Lake Fish Camp from August 5th through August 9th,” Dusty Attleson explained.
