VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than 400 educators from several area school districts attended a teacher-in-service event on Monday, August 20th in Valley City.

Valley City Public School District Superintendent Josh Johnson said school safety was discussed extensively during the teacher-in-service.

He told reporter Steve Urness that the keynote speaker talked about how educators should create a positive connection with students as they start another school year.

On Tuesday, August 21st teachers attended a professional development day in Valley City. The first full day of school for the Valley City Public School District and St. Catherine’s School is Wednesday, August 22nd.
