BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hunters won’t see any changes when the North Dakota waterfowl season kicks off Saturday.
Opening day for ducks, geese, coots, and mergansers will start September 22nd for residents and September 29th for non-residents. Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says hunters need to keep a few things in mind when the season starts.
Bag limit for Canada geese is 8 daily and Leier says there should be a good start to the season.
Leier says hunters also need to be mindful about the aquatic nuisance species if they hunt geese or ducks from a boat. He says the biggest focus as always is safety.
