VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Pete Kostelnick set a world record in 2016 for his coast to coast run across The US that lasted 42 days, 6 hours, 30 minutes. Kostelnick is trying his hand at another cross country run this time from Kenai, Alaska to Key West, Florida. He is calling the self supported endeavor The Ke2Key Challenge.
The run started August 1st and will span over 5,000 miles, in his second run across the country Kostelnick hopes he can enjoy the sights along the way
Wednesday Kostelnick’s journey took him through Valley City where he was joined by members of The Valley City High School Cross Country Team. The Hi-Liners met him as came from Jamestown and ran him past Jefferson Elementary before a stop at The Dairy Queen.
They then escorted him past the high school and out of town towards his next stop in Tower City. Kostelnick’s has two more stops left in North Dakota, West Fargo and Wahpeton, before making it to Minnesota.
