JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a convicted sex offender who has changed addresses within the city of Jamestown.

40 year-old Larry Gant currently resides at 1530 6th Avenue SW in the Buffalo Motel. He was previously living on a City Park bench. He is 5’11”, 177 pounds, and black with brown eyes and black hair.

Gant was charged with aggravated rape in 2003 when he and two other individuals entered a residence through a bedroom window and raped a developmentally disabled teenager in Tennessee.

Mr. Gant is not currently wanted at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety only and should not increase fear in the community. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will be turned over for prosecution.
