JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High volleyball team hosted their annual “Pink Power” breast cancer awareness event on Friday night at Jerry Meyer Arena in support of middle school coach and cousenslor, Lindsay Quichocho.
The volleyball teams sold over 1200 t-shirt’s that read “Be Strong & Quorageous” with all the proceeds going to help Quichocho’s battle with breast cancer.
Jamestown took care of Dickinson quite easily on Friday night, rolling to a straight set win, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-17). Courtney Peterson paced the Jays with 10 kills.
The regular season finale is scheduled for Tuesday against St. Mary’s. The winner of the match will get the No. 5 seed in the WDA Tournament and will avoid a play-in game.
