JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Salvation Army is geared up for their largest fundraiser set to begin November 15th.

Each year, kettles are setup at six different locations in Jamestown to accept any and all donations that go on to assist with the Salvation Army services. Major Tim Nauta says the campaign continues to be successful as they surpassed their 2017 goal.

Because of this, Major Nauta says they’ve decided to increase their goal to $168,000 this holiday season.

Major Nauta says the game room reopening is a primary goal of theirs in 2019. Along with that, he pointed out that the needs of the area continually outpace the what’s raised.

Major Nauta says the community has continued to be a great support of the campaign and Salvation Army, and he believes they will reach their goal this year.

The biggest need right now is the volunteers. Major Nauta says ringers can take a two hour shift at one of their six locations through the holidays. You can register to ring the bell at 701-252-0290 or online at registertoring.com.
