FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Valley City man’s death in July was tragic but there was no evidence to support any criminal charges against anyone according to BCI Agent Arnie Rummel who conducted the investigation.
He said Valley City Police Officer Christopher Olson and Sargent Wade Hannig did nothing criminal during the arrest of Warren Lindvold on July 15.
He added that staff members of the Barnes County Correctional facility did nothing criminal while Lindvold was in custody in the jail.
Lindvold was arrested on July 15 for suspicion of DUI. He died a few days later in a Fargo hospital.
The family is pursuing civil charges against the city of Valley City and Barnes County stemming from this incident.
