JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library System is hosting their 5th Annual Mitten tree this winter.
“It’s the time of year again when the weather turns cold and we need to dig our hats, mittens, scarves and other warm clothes out of storage. To help those who may not have those necessary items during this cold weather season, the James River Valley Library System has placed a Mitten Tree in the Adult Section of the Alfred Dickey Library,” the library states.
Donations of new or gently used hats, gloves, mittens and scarves are being accepted, which will then be donated to the Jamestown Salvation Army for those who need them.
“Last year we received an outstanding amount of donations from our generous community, and we want to thank all those who helped make our Mitten Tree a huge success,” Jennifer Senger stated. “This year we want to make it an even bigger success.”
Donations will be accepted from December 1st through January 4th, 2019. To learn more about the Mitten Tree or the library, call 701-252-2900 or email adpl@daktel.com.
