JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Organizations are stepping up this month to ring in money for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign.

Major Tim Nauta with the Jamestown Salvation Army reports that at this time, just over $48,000 has been raised through the campaign. He says there’s a desperate need for volunteers to ring so they can reach their goal of $168,000.

The Jamestown Kiwanis Club is stepping up this weekend and ringing the bells to help the program. Member Katie Ryan-Anderson states that Friday and Saturday will be an opportunity for funds to be matched up to $4,000.

“We will have Kiwanis members ringing the bell tomorrow and Saturday at Wal-Mart,” Ryan-Anderson added.

If you would like to volunteer to ring the bell, you can visit registertoring.com or call Major Tim Nauta at 701-252-0290.
