JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dain Sardelli had six points in the first three games for Bismarck High. Thursday Night, he more than doubled that against Jamestown as the Demons got by the Blue Jays 8-3 in boys hockey at John L. Wilson Arena.

The senior wing had a goal and six assists on the night. The only goal he did not have a hand in was Braxton Neas’ unassisted short-handed goal early in the third period that gave the Demons a 7-2 lead.

Caleb Petrie had two goals and an assist for Bismarck. Isaac Ohlhauser added a goal and two assists. Landon Fischer also had two goals for Bismarck who improve to 4-0 on the year and 2-0 in the west region.

Jace Thompson had two goals and an assist for Jamestown. He and Tommy Falk assisted on Joe Cummings first varsity goal with 1:46 to go  in the first period to tie the game at 2.

But Bismarck scored three goals in the last 5:26 of the second period to pull away.

Special teams hurt the Blue Jays. Bismarck had five power play goals in eight tries. The Jays were 0 for 6 on the power play.

Jamestown, now 1-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the West Region, travel to Williston to face the Coyotes on Saturday afternoon.
