CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Canadian Pacific Holiday train made one of its 160 stops in Carrington on Saturday, December 15th.
The train has made the trip for the past 20 years from Canada and through the US before ending its trip in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on Sunday, December 16th. Media Relations Manager Andy Cummings says they’ve raised millions of dollars and tons of food that have benefited area food pantries.
The train stopped in Carrington and put on a show. Cummings says they ask for donations of food or money that is then given to the local food pantry. A check of $3,500 was donated to the Carrington Daily Bread Food Pantry following the concert.
