CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carrington City Crews are currently working on 4 separate water main breaks that occurred early this morning.
Jason Wolsky, Assistant Public Works Director for the city, reports that the breaks are happening because of the cold weather and temperature changes. He says they’re also dealing with 5 feet of frost while digging up the lines to repair them while also trying to clean the streets.
One of the breaks had been repaired as of 12:30 AM Monday. Crews have been called in from Hatton to assist with 3 of the breaks. The city reports that some residents in the area of 3rd Street North between 4th and 5th Avenue may be without water until Tuesday in order to conserve water loss.
“Please have patience as the break will be repaired tomorrow,” the city stated on social media.
