CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Post 25 scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back on Wednesday night as the roll past Harvey 13-1 in five innings, winning by the 10-run mercy rule. Carrington improves to 3-2 overall and 3-0 in District 4, Harvey drops to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in District 4.

The winning pitcher was Drew Page, working all five innings on 68 pitches, one earned run, four strikeouts, five hits and one hit batter. Matt Kittelson took the loss, working four innings, 13 earned runs, 13 hits, one strikeout and three hit batters. Kyle Leapaldt hit his second home run of the season in the home half of the second inning, hitting a 2-run shot over the left field wall, he had two singles as well and scored three times. Lead-off batter Payton Smith hit three singles, knocked in two and scored twice.

A day earlier on Tuesday and in district play, Carrington beat Rolla 12-0 and 10-0, both in five innings.
