VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Soils are saturated in Barnes County and it’s creating headaches for farmers trying to apply fungicide and other applications in their fields this summer.

NDSU Barnes County Extension Educator Randy Grueneich said the hot humid weather doesn’t help the wheat crop in the region either. Grueneich was our guest on our Voice of the Valley show and gave this update for Barnes County.

Remember the Project Safe Send drop off site for unwanted pesticides and fungicides will be July 26th from 8am to noon at the NDDOT office site south of Valley City, just take exit 292 off I-94 and head south.
