OAKES,N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Then there were three. Oakes, LaMoure and Fargo will play Saturday to see who will represent District 7 in the State Class B American Legion Baseball Tournament next week. Oakes won over Fairmount/Hankinson/Lidgerwood 13-3 in five innings. And LaMoure handed Fargo its first loss of the tournament with a 6-2 win.

Oakes 13, Fairmount/Hankinson/Lidgerwood 3 F/5

Adam Neustel highlighted an eight run fourth inning with a grand slam home run leading Oakes to the win over FHL to stay alive in the District 7 tournament at Cummings Field. Izaiah Hoelscher capped the big inning with a two run home run.

Neustel added an rbi double and scored three times. Garrett Meehl had three hits, scored twice and drove in two runs. Coy Awender, Alex Nelson, and Tyler Voightman all had two hits as Oakes had 14 total.

LaMoure 6, Fargo Bombers 2

Mac Bierman did it on the mound and at the plate leading LaMoure to a 6-2 win over Fargo. Bierman had two hits and drove in a run with an rbi double in the two run fifth.

Shay Ness and Rory Gentzkow had two hits each and Alex Klever scored three times for Post 19.

Bierman allowed five hits and two earned runs in seven innings. He walked three and struck out six.

Oakes and LaMoure will play at 2pm in an elimination game with the winner facing Fargo in a winner take all championship.
