HAZEN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) After lightning and rain postponed the Thursday evening games at Slinde Field in Hazen, game seven of the tournament Between the Patriots and Bombers resumed Friday morning in the top of the seventh inning with MayPort leading 2-1, here are Friday’s results:

MayPort 2 Fargo Bombers 1

Thompson 6 Carrington 0

Marcus Hughes worked a complete game no-hitter against Post 25, with eight strikeouts and four walks. Kyle Leapaldt took the loss, working four and a third, four runs, two earned, five strikeouts and five walks. Payton Smith worked an inning and Lucas Hendrickson worked an inning and two-thirds. Clay Odenbach and Hughes both had 2-run home runs, Odenbach in the top of the third and Hughes in the top of the sixth.

Carrington 9 Hettinger 5, 9 innings

Post 25 avoided elimination by scoring four runs on two Bears errors in the top of the ninth to get the four run victory in extra innings. Payton Smith picked up the victory, working the last four innings, three runs, two earned, five hits, four walks. Lucas Geiszler started, working three innings on 44 pitches, Seth Nelson also worked two innings on 26 pitches. The loss went to Ty Warbis, working the last inning and two-thirds, four runs, one earned. Mason Defoe starting, working six innings, 109 pitches, three runs, one earned, seven strikeouts. Carrington had 12 hits, two each by Smith, Geiszler, Drew Page, Nic Lyman and Seth Nelson.

3pm – Carrington vs. MayPort
