
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Finance & Legal Committee approved the 2020 utility rate adjustments as well as the licenses and permit fee adjustments Tuesday.
City Administrator Sarah Hellekson gave a brief rundown of the different changes throughout the utility rates.
Other adjustments included an increase for commercial, residential, multiple residential, and mobile home court wastewater rates.
Residential garbage as well as tipping (disposal rates were also increased.
FOr 2020 licenses and permit fees, there were three reported changes. These included: Compassion Care Center Special Use Permit, Housemoving Permits, and Kennel Fee for the Animal Control. All of these were increases.
City Attorney Leo Ryan made mention that the city alcohol permit fees were too high based on the state cap.
The adjustment was made to reduce the alcohol permit fee to $25. The committee approved unanimously to accept the adjustments for 2020.
