LAMOURE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – LaMoure-Litchville/Marion (LLM) (10-3) remained perfect in District play after beating Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (EKM) (7-7) 60-22 Thursday night.

A ferocious defensive performances boosted LLM to its 10th overall victory and a 4-0 District record. On and off ball defense was spectacular for the Loboes as they held EKM to just one point over the last 12 minutes of the first half.

While EKM sputtered on offense for most of the game, LLM poured in nine three pointers. Sophomore Molly Musland had a couple of them and led the way with 21 points. Senior Ellie Holen had a trio of three pointers enroute to a 13 point performance.

EKM’s leading scorers were Jocelynn Madcke with six points and Norah Entzi off the bench.

A tough stretch awaits the Loboes. They’ll take on four of the Region’s top teams over the next couple of weeks beginning with the number one team in the state Kindred this Saturday. EKM’s schedule isn’t much easier as they take on Carrington and Linton-HMB in their next two games.
