The LaMoure-LM (LLM) Loboes outscored Kidder County (KC) 18-13 in the final quarter and defeated the defending Region 3 champions 54-48. The Loboes and Wolves were tied at 10 after the first quarter. LLM outscored KC 15-6 in the second quarter and took a 25-16 lead into the halftime break. KC, playing without senior starter Brittany Rath (knee injury in semifinal win over Carrington), would not go away quietly, outscoring the Loboes 19-11 in the third quarter to pull within 1 point, trailing 36-35 entering the fourth quarter. Sophomore Molly Musland scored 6 of her game high 22 points in the final quarter. Ellie Holen also added 6 points in the final quarter and finished with 17 points. The Loboes sealed the game late at the free throw line, connecting on 9 of 10 in the final quarter. Kaylynn Siedschlag added 8 points and 7 rebounds and Mollie Robbins hauled in a game high 10 rebounds for LLM.
KC was paced by junior guard Madelyn Schmidt with a team high 18 points and 7 rebounds. Kennedy Harter added 12 points and 3 assists for the Wolves. KC finishes the season at 21-3 overall. LLM improved to 20-5 and will play next Thursday in Grand Forks in the opening round of the state class B state tournament.

Carrington 62     Medina-Pingree-Buchanon (MPB)  46
All five of Carrington starters scored in double figures with Addison Hoornaert leading the way with 13 points. Kiera Eli (11), Hannah Hagel (11), Lexus Page (10), and Marah Schmitz (10). The Cardinals scored 31 points in both halves and built a 20 point lead late in the game before settling with the 64-46 victory. Hagel added 7 rebounds and 4 steals for the Cardinals.
Megan Moser, playing in her final game for the Thunder, had a game high 20 points and 11 rebounds to pace MPB offensively. Allison Thomas added 14 points and a game high 6 steals. MPB finished the season 16-8, 3 of the losses to Carrington, who finished the season 20-4..
Ellie Holen was selected the Region 3 senior athlete of the year. Megan Moser was also a finalist for the award.
Mitch Carlson was voted the Region 3 coach of the year and Ryan Larson of Kidder County was selected the athletic director of the year.
