ASHLEY, N.D. – Valley City Kings scored 18 runs in the top of the sixth inning and cruised to a 29-3 win over Ashley in Babe Ruth Baseball Tuesday in Ashley.

In the big inning, Zachary Sykora drove in four runs with a three run triple and an rbi single. Broden Muske drove in three with a two run homer and an rbi fielder’s choice. Robert Fischer had three rbi in the inning with an rbi single and a two run double. Max Mehus drove in two with a single and a double. Kai Kringlie had a two run single. Casey Kruger and Gavin Gerhardt each had rbi singles.

Ethan Miller had five hits, scored four times and had two rbi. Fischer and Mehus had four hits each and Fischer drove in six while Mehus drove in three. Sykora and Isaiah Schuldheisz had two hits each. Sykora drove in five and Muske had four rbi.

Ethan Miller, Carver Pederson and Gavin Gerhardt combined on a two hitter. Pederson allowed one hit and one earned run to pick up the win. He walked one and struck out three.

The Kings are now 5-0 on the season. They will be in Casselton this weekend for a tournament.
