BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public Radio) – State health officials say just because we are in a pandemic doesn’t  mean you can’t celebrate the 4th of July holiday.

Molly Howell is Assistant Director of the Health Department’s Division of Disease Control. She says people are able to take part in celebrations as long as they make sure to continue taking  preventative measures.

Howell says social distancing is key in all situations and avoiding large crowds is highly recommended. And then there is the use of masks in both indoors and out.

Howell says it will be possible to have a good time this 4th of July, just make sure you are keeping safety in mind.
