JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Company X is continuing to move forward with their project at the Spiritwood Energy Park.

During a Business Attraction Committee Meeting, Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) Executive Director Connie Ova informed the committee that the undisclosed project was still underway.

Originally, the Spiritwood Energy Park Association (SEPA) entered an exclusivity agreement and non-disclosure agreement with the unnamed company in September 2019 after ending their agreement with Minnesota Soybean Processors for a soybean crushing plant at the park.

An extension was granted earlier this year as the company explored the possibility of a value-added agriculture processing plant. Ova adds that they have again extended the agreement.

In other business news, interest continues in a greenhouse project a the Spiritwood Energy Park. JSDC Business Development Manager Corry Shevlin had some more details.

Shevlin says they continue to work with the regional council on the process. Great River Energy is working on how to provide steam to a potential commercial greenhouse.
