CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Casey’s General Store in Carrington has closed their doors temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Doors were closed and locks were put on fueling stations Thursday. A company spokesperson says when they learned of the positive case, the activated their response plan.

“[The plan includes] temporarily closing the store and initiating a deep clean with a third-party cleaning provider,” the store spokesperson stated. “This was also the recommended guidance from the Department of Health and consistent with CDC guidelines.”

It’s expected the store will reopen as soon as cleaning is completed.

“The store is temporarily closed and will reopen once the necessary cleaning is complete and we can ensure the safety and availability of Casey’s team members to support daily operations.”
