VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Moorhead man who was allegedly stabbed in Valley City may not have been stabbed according to police.

Police Chief Phil Hatcher said the alleged victim, 24 year-old Rene Vazquez of Moorhead isn’t cooperating with investigators. He said no other person was on the video in the area during the bleeding incident.

Vazquez was driven to Moorhead by a friend on Sunday, September 6th. He was eventually transported to a Fargo hospital for treatment of his bleeding injuries. His condition has not been released.

Hatcher said the bleeding incident appears to have happened between the 600 to 800 blocks of west Main Street Sunday morning in Valley City. He said the incident remains under investigation.
