JAMESTOWN, N.D. (newsdakota.com) – Due to poor field conditions at Ernie Gates Field, the Jamestown Blue Jays football home opener has been moved to Rollie Greeno Field this Friday according to a press release from Jamestown High School Athletic Director Jim Roaldson.

Game time was also moved up to 4:00 “due to lack of lighting in Taylor Stadium,” said Roaldson via email.

In its final season hosting Friday night football, Ernie Gates Field will have to wait at least another week to host a game. Next Friday the Jays were set to play Williston at home before Williston had to postpone the game due to COVID-19 positives on their team. Instead Jamestown will host Valley City Friday, September 25.
