Lisbon, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For the second consecutive week the Lisbon Broncos score on a long touchdown run to open their playoff game Saturday against Grafton.

Last week the Broncos scored on a long TD run from #2 Jordan Sours just 14 seconds into the game against Harvey/Wells County. This week the Broncos get a 65 yard TD run from Sours on the first play and score a TD in just 13 seconds, on their way to a 32 to 8 win.

After the game Broncos head coach Joe Gerding talked about their big win:  “It was another great start for the Broncos.  Starting fast has been huge for us this season.  We knew Grafton was going to come out swinging early and we knew we had to handle the blitz.”. Gerding added, “defensively we had a great first half.  Grafton ran 8 different formations and our kids were able to communicate and get to the correct coverages.”

Both teams had to deal with 30 to 40 mph winds during the game, but it didn’t seem to hinder the Broncos offense as they built a 26 to 0 lead in the first half.
