JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Police, ambulance, and fire crews are on scene for a reported house fire in Jamestown.

Crews were dispatched around 9:30 AM to the Northeast section of Jamestown for reported smoke coming from the roof of a structure.

Lt. Sid Mann asked the public to avoid the area as they work on the scene. He stated police, fire trucks, and ambulance had blocked off the street as they handled the call.

Officials report the fire was in the attic of the home extending to the walls between two bedrooms. The cause has been listed as electrical.

No injuries were reported. The Buffalo Valley Red Cross is assisting the two residents with temporary housing.

Five city fire units including the new ladder truck and 24 firefighters were on the scene about and hour and 15 minutes.
