
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County Park Superintendent Karl Berg reports they have a position to fill come Summer 2021.
Berg says they would look to hire for a potential seasonal position for the summer to help in the campgrounds.
The Park Board unanimously agreed to advertise for the position. Berg later brought up future projects and the boards thoughts. He says he was looking for input on how the board thought he should pursue in funding the projects.
He added that playground equipment and campground upgrades could also be looked at.
Commissioner Ramone Gumke stated that focusing on funding to improve water safety should be a top priority. Berg stated he would maybe look to a partnership with a company to find funding.
He expects more traffic in the area once the NDFU Youth Camp is completed and operating. He says warmer weather has helped crews with the current construction of the camp.
Berg stated he would focus his efforts on water safety improvements.
Bob Martin was also introduced as the new Stutsman County Park Board member, taking over the vacancy left by Joan Morris.
