JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For 89 years, the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce has served the greater Jamestown area for the betterment of the community.

The Chamber and its members accomplishments been celebrated annually during a banquet for all those years.

Executive Director Emily Bivens says it’s also a chance to reflect on 2020, which she adds was a very active year for the chamber.

The banquet is also when the chamber gives out it’s most prestigious awards. These include the Business of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Above & Beyond award, and the Citizen of the Year award.

Bivens says the Beautification Committee will also give out their year end awards which include the Continuing Beautification of the Community, Best Landscaping, and Spot of Beauty.

Because of the pandemic, the banquet will be a virtual event set to premier on Thursday, January 28th at 7 PM. The banquet will be livestreamed on NewsDakota.com and later available on other platforms including the Jamestown Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Bivens added she was honored to have been part of such a long running organization.
