OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes School Board has named four finalists for the position of Superintendent for the district.

The Oakes School District sought candidates for the position following the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Kraig Steinhoff.  Steinhoff submitted his resignation and the letter was approved at the February 17th special school board meeting.

The finalists are:

  • David Goetz, Interim Superintendent at Williams County School District #8, Williston, ND
  • Ryan Moser, Superintendent and Elementary Principal at Hettinger Public School
  • Anna Sell, Elementary Principal at Oakes Public School
  • Kevin St. John, from Billings, MT, and Superintendent of Phillipsburg, MT, Public Schools

The school board will interview these four candidates on Wednesday and Thursday, April 7 and 8, and the board is expected to make a decision and announcement soon after that.
